Spanish company Altum Sequencing seeks five million euros to accelerate its early cancer detection technology - elEconomista.es

The Madrid-based startup is progressing toward closing a €5 million funding round to advance a technology — led by Dr. Joaquín Martínez (Hospital 12 de Octubre) — capable of detecting one tumour cell among a million healthy cells from a single blood sample. Its platform combines next-generation sequencing (NGS), liquid biopsy and artificial intelligence to monitor measurable residual disease (MRD), helping anticipate relapse and assess treatment response through a simple blood draw. The company already works with hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and clinical research organisations across several countries, and was recently named overall winner as well as winner of the Health category at the 13th edition of Alhambra Venture.
